I’m SO excited to share this engagement session because it happens to be two people who are very special to me: my brother-in-law and his fiancé! We had so much fun together the day of the session, the light was lovely and thanks to a lifetime of history (okay, half a lifetime) there were no awkward moments or miscommunications. This is completely and genuinely THEM. I can’t wait for the big day Kourt & Jer- love you guys! A special thanks to Old Goat Books http://www.oldgoatbooks.com/Welcome_to_Old_Goat_Books.html for letting us photograph in there!
It’s been a long time coming but spring seems to have finally made it’s way here and I couldn’t be more excited to be able to shoot in the gorgeous weather. Here’s a preview from an Easter weekend shoot I did of 3 very awesome people. I am looking forward to the wedding this summer! More to come on these lovely people!
Unfortunately, my job revolves around the weather more than I would like (stay tuned about my new INDOOR studio- can’t wait). A lot of time and effort goes into planning and preparing for a session but one thing we can’t control is the weather. Sometimes Mother Nature just doesn’t want to cooperate and there are really only two things we can do: reschedule or brave the storm. K & M decided to take a chance and go ahead with the session and I’m glad they did. As we were shooting K told me she was okay with the rain because no one else was going to have photos like them. Needless to say, these are the people I enjoy working with- the ones who show up rain or shine 😉
K & M I’m looking forward to your big day and hopefully we have a lot more shine than rain!
A new tradition started today; we visited the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival on it’s 50th anniversary. The weather was not at it’s best but we were all in good spirits and had a great time. Here is just a snippet of our time eating pancakes, visiting the sugar shack, sampling food trucks (my favourite was Chef Scotty Cooks https://twitter.com/chefscottycooks) and walking all over town!
If you get a chance to go next year I would highly recommend it- especially in good company 😉
