It was such an honour to photograph Jeff & Christine’s beautiful country wedding this year. The ceremony and reception were held at the groom’s home farm where they married in front of the generational farm house and cleared out the barn to hold a lovely reception. Here are a few memories from that day.
The bride and her lovely bridesmaids sharing a good laugh before the ceremony.
One of my favourite details from the day- guests sat on hay bales covered in vintage quilts
The barn was transformed into a stunning reception hall and no detail was overlooked. Christine and her mom scoured thrift stores for months to ensure that everything was just right. The whole day was filled with personal, handmade touches that truly reflected the couple and their family and friends.
It’s official! And their daughter is excited about it too!
What a lucky guy to have all of these beautiful ladies in his life!
The fantastic wedding party!
Did I mention there were SO many awesome locations for me to choose from?
The sunflower patch- another highlight.
My personal favourite 😉
Family <3 What it’s all about.
Let the party begin!
Jeff & Christine, it was a pleasure capturing your day! To a lifetime of happiness!
It’s been a BUSY spring but I’m not complaining. Although, it has put me very behind on my blogging. So in an attempt to actually keep up with this blog, I will post all winter sessions so we can move on to the much more lovely and enjoyable spring.
This is Dexter. He turned one recently, okay not THAT recently; there was still snow on the ground. However, no amount of gloominess outside could have stopped hime from enjoying that cake!
Summer. I can feel it!
I hope everyone had a fantastic long weekend! My family and I made the most of the beautiful weather and the kids actually got to play in the sprinkler!
If you would like to book a session for this summer, please contact me as soon as possible as things fill up very quickly once the beautiful weather gives all a gentle reminder of our fondness for family fun and the outdoors!
I’ll leave you with a shot of my kids from this gorgeous holiday weekend. This picture is how I want my kids to remember their childhood.
It’s been a long time coming but spring seems to have finally made it’s way here and I couldn’t be more excited to be able to shoot in the gorgeous weather. Here’s a preview from an Easter weekend shoot I did of 3 very awesome people. I am looking forward to the wedding this summer! More to come on these lovely people!
There is something very special about following clients through different milestones in their lives. From engagement to wedding, maternity, newborn, family and beyond there are countless little milestones in there that are just waiting to be captured. If you have ever looked on my website under the ‘About Me’ section, you will see my tagline is “let me capture your love story” and that’s because there are love stories all around us; some, more shy and reserved than others. Whether you are looking for someone to capture your wedding day- with all of the planning and energy you have poured into it to make it special, or just to capture a day in your life- perhaps cooking in your messy kitchen with your kids while the dog begs for scraps at your feet- those moments need to be treasured. This family welcomed baby B in December and it was a pleasure to be there again for another new love story to unfold. I have photographed this family a handful of times and it is so nice to see them grow up and together. So thank you, K family, for bringing me along for the ride 😉 Here’s to many more.
Sooooo… it’s official. It’s 2014 and I am joining the blogging world. I realize that I’m a bit late to the party and that from now on, you’ll probably be expecting me to keep this new habit of mine up. Well, that’s just what I intend to do. Feel free to stop by here any time to follow my photography, as well as some personal posts. I’m so glad this is finally happening- the blog that is- it has been a long time coming and I’m finally ready to commit to it. So, for my first official post I will leave you with some photos of a family session I did this fall. The B family was so much fun to work with, and completely down to earth. Despite the crazy weather we had, we did manage to get our session in on an overcast and windy day at their family farm. Thanks for having me B family and I hope to photograph you again in the future and see how much your kids have grown.
